Our good friends at Freedom Bikes in Brighton lent us their two Intense Tracer demo bikes for a couple of days riding around our local singletrack. The large size model was put together with a XC build while the medium had a burly build. Its worth repeating that every demo bike we have had from Freedom has been spotlessly clean with brakes, gears etc adjusted to perfection and these were no exception.

Fox 32 Vanilla; QR or 15mm axle

I recently had to replace a dead 3 year old Fox 32 Vanilla R on my SC blur LT2. I always buy coil forks and the obvious one for me is the Fox Vanilla R, it is very plush, comes with 3 different springs, is robust, tolerent of lack of attention, is fit and forget (nothing to fiddle with) and is a reasonable price. No contest then I would just get another Vanilla R but which one, the standard QR or the new 15mm axle?  Continue reading
